The investigation into the death of Tasia Fortune reached a new stage on Friday after police arrested a third suspect and announced that evidence shows the hanging scene where her body was found had been staged.
Jackson police said 45-year-old Eric Clark turned himself in to authorities and was charged with murder in connection with the death of the 29-year-old woman. Clark is expected to make his first court appearance on Monday.
The latest arrest comes weeks after authorities charged Earnest Lloyd Jr. and Jarques Ratliff with murder. Investigators have not publicly detailed how each suspect is believed to be connected to the case, but police say the investigation remains active as detectives continue gathering evidence.
